DJ and karaoke hire for weddings and parties in Barcelona
At Alquiaudio we have offered DJ and karaoke hire in Barcelona and across Catalonia since 2015: a DJ for weddings and parties, DJ gear so you can play yourself and karaoke with screen and wireless mics.
The DJ plays through the same Alquiaudio sound system, with our own technician, so music, mics and lighting are coordinated from a single desk.

01
What does the Alquiaudio DJ service include?
It includes the DJ, controller, sound system, a mic for announcements and a technician; it can be combined with LED lighting for the dance floor.
A good DJ isn’t the one who plays their favourite songs, but the one who fills the floor with your guests’ favourites. So we have a call beforehand to understand the crowd: ages, whether there will be children, what music brings the family together and which song must not be played under any circumstances.
02
DJ or a playlist at your event?
Quick answer: a playlist works for drinks and dinner; for dancing, a DJ keeps the floor full by adapting the music to whoever is dancing.
At weddings the most common approach is to combine: an agreed playlist for drinks and dinner, and a DJ for dancing. The technician handles the handover seamlessly. For the rest of the wedding, see wedding sound in Catalonia.
| Criterion | DJ | Playlist |
|---|---|---|
| Adapts to the crowd | In real time | Not at all |
| Transitions | No silences | Gaps and ads if not premium |
| Special moments | Prepared and announced | Have to be done by hand |
| When to choose | Dancing and party | Drinks, dinner, background music |

How does karaoke work at a party?
We set up a screen, two wireless mics and an up-to-date catalogue in several languages; the technician manages the song queue so nobody has to wrestle with the laptop.
Karaoke works best as a moment in the party rather than the whole night. We recommend one or two hours, after dinner and before the dancing really kicks off. If you would rather play yourself, we also hire DJ gear with a controller, connected to our system.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How much does a wedding DJ cost in Barcelona?
Alquiaudio gives a fixed quote based on hours, moments and whether lighting is added, with no obligation. The DJ plays through our sound system with a technician included. Send us the date and venue.
Can I request specific songs from the DJ?
Yes, in the pre-event call we prepare a must-play list and a do-not-play list. During the party, the DJ also takes reasonable requests. Key moments are agreed in advance.
Do you hire just the DJ equipment?
Yes, we hire a DJ controller connected to the sound system, with a technician who sets it up. It is ideal if you or a friend want to play. We walk you through the connections before you start.
Does the karaoke have songs in English and Catalan?
Yes, the catalogue includes songs in English, Spanish, Catalan and other languages. It is regularly updated with recent hits. If you are looking for a particular song, ask us beforehand.
How much space does karaoke need?
A corner for the screen and space in front for the singer is enough. We position it so the audience can see both the screen and the singer. It works indoors and outdoors at night.
