## What size stage does a band or event need?

**For speeches a small platform of about 2 × 2 metres is enough; a five-piece band with drums needs at least 6 × 4 metres, and a seven-piece a little more.**

In short:

- **Speech or lectern:** about 2 × 2 m.
- **Duo or singer-songwriter:** about 4 × 2 m.
- **Band with drums:** from 6 × 4 m.
- **Height:** depends on distance to the audience and sightlines.

Height matters as much as surface area. In a square with a standing audience, a stage that is too low means only the front rows can see the band; in a hall with a seated audience, one that is too high feels awkward. We assess it from photos of the space.

## Modular platform or covered stage structure?

**Quick answer: a modular platform covers most weddings, events and parties; a covered stage is only needed outdoors with a risk of rain or for large concerts.**

For outdoor events on a modular platform with a risk of rain, we plan covers and a covered alternative in the Rider. If your event needs a roof, we will advise you from the first message.

## Can you run sound on another band’s stage?

**Yes, we run sound on stages for bands of up to 7 musicians even if we didn’t book them, coordinating with their rider beforehand.**

### How much does it cost to hire a stage for an event?

Alquiaudio gives a fixed quote based on size, height and venue, with no obligation. If booked with the sound, it is set up in the same service. Send us photos and measurements of the space.

### Is the platform safe for a drum kit and amps?

Yes, modular platforms take the weight of a full band with drums and amps. They are levelled and secured before the equipment goes on. We check the surface they stand on.

### Can you set up a stage on grass or gravel?

Yes, we level the platform on grass, gravel or uneven ground with adjustable legs and base plates. On very soft ground we ask to see photos first. Stability comes first.

### Does the stage come with steps?

Yes, we place access steps on whichever side suits the band or speakers. If anyone has reduced mobility, we take it into account in the layout. Mention it when you ask for a quote.

### How long does it take to set up a stage?

A stage for a band usually takes less than an hour, before the sound goes on. The exact time is given in the technical Rider. That way the sound check starts on time.
